ahp
Hi folks, I have been trying to source a new replacement brake "bomb" 4A0612061D for 1994 Audi Cabriolet 2.6 v6, but seems to be no longer available as oem or aftermarket part. Has anyone found a solution for alternative brake pressure accumulator to allow us to keep our cars on the road? I have previously replaced with second hand item and that lasted 2 years, which is all that I would expect with the age of these cars now. I am a little concerned that unless a substitute component is found our cars ate going to be forces off the road....... Any help greatly appreciated. ahp
Your search does not show any new items that are in stocks, which is my issue. I can find any new items.
Steve Q
This is my worry, I appreciate my A6 isn't as old but they're determined to kill off older Audi's that's got sure. Have you tried Audi heritage?
IHK 11
Hi i know how difficult it is to get parts for these cars. I had serious trouble recently with a steering rack. I think your best bet is German eBay if you can find a way of translating it onto english.they do have a lot of choice on there to be fair. Another idea might be to ask Audi parts sellers on normal eBay if they have it or know anyone else. Good luck.
paulyboy123
Hello did you find a replacement bomb? I was quoted approx £300 by Quattro Corner. Another common option is to convert to vacuum brake assist.
paulyboy123
Further to my reply above, Febi offer a replacement for £250. Also kevinhydragas offers a re-gas service on eBay.co.uk. Edited April 7 by paulyboy123
