Incorrect module installed

I had my 2011 A4  checked and had a faulty steering angle sensor faulty. I had one to replace but but said incorrect module installed. They look the same, but the part number. The new is just a year ahead. Is there anyway to have it installed or to fit my car?

No ...I don't know anything about coding to the car. I will ask the dealer. All I saw was incorrect module installed. 

....and I wanted to know if it can stlll be fix
