Audi RS5 buying Advice

Featured Replies

Evening all

I am looking to buy this RS5 but at 80k miles should i be concerned about the timing chain?.....Everything has been drawn down from the Audi service records but there is no mention of timing chain replacement.

Anything else i should be looking for?...i have done the whole you Tube thing for the last few weeks,i couldn't decide between this and a Jaguar XKR.I ruled out BMW M6 e60 due to potential nightmare problems.

The Audi i am looking at is stunning and drives superb as far as i can tell, i love the flexibility of Comfort for everyday driving and Dynamic for mental moments.

It is an unusual colour but apparently was special order.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Matt

Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂

Glad you've looked at YouTube videos.

Make sure all electrical items work and gearbox has been serviced. And quattro system has been serviced. Linked to this make sure tyres are the same brand and the same tread on the the same axle if that makes sense

Yep Timing chain can always be an issue but should be fine as long as car has been serviced on time.
