Audi a6 c7 cylinder in gearbox

Hi. I got a cylinder fault inside the gearbox, the gearbox itself needs taking out completely 2 get 2 the cylinder, is there an easier way 2 replace the cylinder? Something that wud save time an money. Thanks.

Hi the clutch slave cylinder is a gearbox out job, no other way as its bolted in at the back of the box and the radial/first motion shaft runs through the middle, only good part is you can remove the box without dropping the engine out.

Hi about four hours and about £100 for the part, the guy I use takes about two hours each way.
