MMI Upgrade

Featured Replies

Hello everyone!

My a6 is currently running mh2p_er_aug35_p2711

I see MH2p_ER_AUG35_P2873.7z is available, has anyone any experience of doing this update?

Is it official audi firmware?

I was hoping someone with AUDI service knowledge could have some insight on this. I have read that Audi can upgrade/update the software to the latest version. But I don’t know if this true or if this use to be the case but only older models. Even if it was £100 if it added some actual new features into navigation upgrades so it was worth buying it. I have the paid for version for about 3 more months and the routes it comes up with are totally bizarre. It cannot do fastest, shortest routes etc. It can’t do preferred route methods and even if you send the route from the app it completely ignores it and takes it back to the standard Motorway or dual carriages it never takes you down country lanes. I keep getting told to add a new theme to my car but this isn’t even an option in this software version. What’s disappointing for a make like Audi, is my Kia and Volvo use to get 6monthly updates and these added new features not just free maps.

Yes. Audi map upgrades are ridiculous. If I pay for 1 months navigation on Ford Focus ST it automatically updates the map and then I can go back to using WAZE. It's a great free app for navigation

Look up the website - ‘Satnavmapupdate’

I’ve used them for both MMI & map updates via an SD card.

Worked flawlessly.
