Water pump and thermostat housing leaking coolant

Featured Replies

I have a 2018 Audi A3 8V currently at around 32,705 on the clock. It’s recent had coolant leaking and so I booked it in for an inspection at Audi and VW specialist. They say the water pump and thermostat housing is where the coolant is leaking (perhaps due to the silica bag) and that the tank holding the coolant is contaminated. Basically needing a whole new system.

They quoted the job £1,008 (incl VAT), I feel like this is too much but thought I’d ask to see what other people think. What love to hear your opinions. I’ve included the breakdown in the attachment below. Thank you.
