Q2

Featured Replies

Hi all

I m thinking of getting a 2019 or 2020 Q2. Should I go for A3 instead of Q2.

I m concerned that q2 is discontinued and probably won't have resale value.

Also can anyone tell me why is it discontinued? Is it technically faulty.

Thanks

Q2 is just a raised up A3. Audi discontinued them along with other Audi models due to production costs. They're narrowing down the amount of product range to save the money. However this won't affect getting parts for them. And resale value should be ok.

Thanks Steve

I am looking at 19 or 20 plate q2 or a3.

Which one do you suggest would be a better option? The costs are almost similar.

I m looking at 30 tfsi petrol which is same in both.

Not very keen on facelift.

My concern with 2019 q2 is that it is discontinued model and the mmi is not touch screen. Would these impact the re sale value let's say in 3-4 years?

I personally don't think it would as SUVs are very popular. Baring in mind the current projections is that petrol and diesel cars are going to sky rocket in price as manufacturers wind down production of petrol and diesel cars.

Regarding mmi, if sat back is important make sure you get one with it as it's an expensive retrofit (£600ish)

Thanks Steve. Your feedback is much appreciated.

You're most welcome. I'd recommend you drive both to see which you prefer. What spec are you looking at for both models?

S line spec is the nicest. And best equipped. If technology is important to you then tech pack is worth considering as it's an extra and the cockpit feature is also an extra (assuming it was available on the A3).

I have driven both.

I m looking at 30 tfsi manual petrol cars. The s line, even in used is expensive because of its specs.

Cockpit feature and 10" mmi touchscreen is available for a3 and not q2. It is a bit strange that audi didn't manage to get a touchscreen for a 2019 model.

It features like that you'll need to decide whether you want them or will get a benefit from them. I think partly the reason I suspect is because the q2 was pulled from production quite quickly.  I don't think it was as popular was Audi would have liked.

Thank you.

I m new in UK. How trustworthy are the major car dealers like cazoo or carshop etc. Can I trust their pre checks for used cars? And their warranty packages.

Also i m based on Newcastle and these dealers are not based in Newcastle. Will that be a problem if there is an issue with the car and i need to take it back to them?

No probs at all, I find car buying is always a difficult process.

Regarding cazoo and similar sites I think they offer to bring the car to you. However I did hear stories of them selling crash damaged cars from a trusted source.

I'd always recommend looking at main dealer. When ever I compared them to private companies such as available car etc they were often no cheaper than main dealer prices.

Looks a nice car, but recommend you compare it to those offered by main dealer.

What do you mean when you said main dealer? Audi dealers?
