just had a new led headlight fitted and garage have sent me pics of the faults after coding and calibration they are now at a loss as what to do next any advice please they are fitting a new ride height sensor but they dont think it will solve the problem thanks 

Did they run a scan what fault codes come up .... 

 

Is it a regular garage or audi specialist ..

will ask them to do scan today car is in bodyshop following accident but think it may have to go to audi 

Now the garage are telling me the car is throwing up headlight cooling fan fault after replacing led headlight can anyone shed some light on this as I am losing faith in their ability to repair car

It needs a proper audi specialist or audi is module correct one for car

 

Some faults can cause other faults to seem present when there not.

Same problem at my place

mines has been in since january still not fixed

Hi do you know what system did the recode as I sure from 2017 on it will require the Audi/VW IDOS system.

hi steve not sure but they have had my car since 29th jan and they still havent solved the problem

Hi the LED units are hell and have to go through rigorous tests by the light control module to be accepted as there is no real manual adjustment its all fly by wire, thats why they cost three times as much new, only other question is the unit O.E. Genuine if not the only way is get a can bus bridge cable which fools the light module into thinking its the original unit.

Hi Steve yes the unit is genuine Audi I have seen the part numbers and cost they have also replaced high beam and low beam modules and it still keeps throwing up error codes

Hi much as I loath to say this it sounds like a dealer/IDOS job as this system runs a diagnostic and then tells the idiot running it how to step by step repair it, all part of the new A.I. strategy, I am assuming you won't be paying for the trip to Audi.

Hi the only benefit from what they have done so far is the car milage isn't going up but that won't help you with the loss of your vehicle.
