Audi A3 8P 1din radio upgrade

Featured Replies

Hi guys! I'm new here and have little experience with cars.

I want to upgrade my car's stereo to something newer and better and I need your help. The car is an Audi A3 '05 and has an Audi concert which looks like this picture:

r/CarAV - Audi A3 1din radio upgrade

I plan to buy a Sony MEX-N4300BT (or similar) to avoid the 2din conversion as it isn't worth the trouble. The problem is that I don't know what adapters I need for the aftermarket radio to work. Is something like this going to work? Do I need a canbus adapter? Do I need to tap a wire into the fusebox? Also will a removal tool come with the radio? Thanks!

Doubt radio removal tool will come with the radio. But you might be able to buy the correct adapter with the radio to make it direct fit.

It isn't a problem in any case. I'm worried about the adapter. Don't know if the one I have linked is the correct one and if it's the only thing I need to buy.
