Concert ll+ upgrade to Sat Nav Plus RNS-E

Featured Replies

Hi all

I have recently become the proud owner of an A4 B7 Cabriolet and would really like to upgrade to the Sat Nav Plus RNS-E unit with hands free and Bluetooth capability if possible?

Have been doing a bit of research as to how easy this would be but becoming confused as to what I need!

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Is it a competent DIY job or do I need specialist support?

Thanks in advance

Geoff

It's not easy. You'll need the head unit, upgraded antenna, wiring harnesses, additional modules?

The simplest option is to fit an aftermarket android auto/apple car play touch screen.

Thanks for the reply Steve.

In my haste I've already purchased a good used head unit which came with a gps antenna thinking it would be a straight forward swap out.

Now wondering whether it best to sell it on and go for the option of an aftermarket solution as you suggest.

Any recommendations?

Not sure to be honest. Like you I did the same and have the rnse unit in my garage. However I'm thinking of going the aftermarket route as I like the idea of having Bluetooth on the screen and a reverse camera possibly.
