No longer possible as an option with black edition models? Just picked up my new Avant and to my surprise, it’s round. Sales guy wasn’t even sure either as it’s normally/has been a standard optional spec when choosing the black edition model. 

How odd. Sure it could be retrofitted if it was a must have. 

Do you have the tour pack (or whatever it's called now?) with the adaptive cruise control? Adding that capability deletes the FBSW in place of the round one. Round one may have more sensors, certainly just touching the bottom of it is enough for the car to detect your hand on the wheel.

Yes - tour pack feel rather stupid now.

when I ordered the car I ticked every option without reading the small print. Obviously I was comparing to the previous car which had all options but the tour pack which is why I was confused! 

Mine has FBSW and does have the Tour Pack.

What Model year - I’ve been having a nightmare looking through used S6 savants trying to find full options and they all have FBSW but say ‘adaptive cruise control’ which i keep thinking they have it wrong.

 

Assuming the newer models now have it with?

My car was delivered in late Nov 2019, but seems to be classed as an MY2020 model - I think?

It has the Tour Pack which I use nearly all the time. Makes for a very relaxing driving experience as you will know. I’m surprised if they have made the FBSW mutually exclusive with the Tour Pack. Can’t seen any reason for this.
