Hi hopefully it was a good brand AGM battery you replaced it with other than that it could be the battery energy module gone wonky, best policy is get the car scanned for faults you may get a better idea of whats going on especially if they clear the old and new codes after as sometimes they will reappear as the ECU has logged them.

I had my Battery replaced by my Audi Servicing people - wasn't cheap but it did resolve intermittent unusual dash lights... New Battery has to be coded to tell the car it is new and so not to overcharge it... I have an OBDEleven for my car to view/delete codes, as well as perform customisations, if you want/need a suggestions for a cheaper alternative to expensive diagnostics equipment...

Hope you get it resolved. You definitely made the better choice with the Four Rings badge!   😋  🤣

Please tell me if you think I’m being harsh by commenting that time effort and experience has been devoted here to no avail since the OP simply hasn’t returned to view any responses.

Let’s hope he’s OK.

Kind regards,

Gareth.

That's true Gareth (@Magnet), but we've done our part in trying to help... It didn't take me too long to type my comment... And if someone else finds this later from a Google (or similar) search then who knows how many we will help...? So, personally, I'm not too upset by it... This is just, sadly, how Forums tend to work...

Best Regards,

Tigger

Hi Anthony, (@anthonywalker198734)

I'm terribly sorry to hear of your family emergency - I hope all is as well as it can be, and that things return to normal for you and your family soon...

I don't think Gareth meant anything by it really... It can be frustrating putting effort into so many queries to have the responses you give seemingly ignored, and he is very active across the forum as a whole... I don't think it was anything against you personally - more a generalised comment/frustration... But I don't want to speak for him - he can respond for himself.

Best Regards, and Wishes,

Tigger

Thanks Anth,

I too wish you well with your family emergency, and I certainly agree that motoring takes a back seat, as I currently go about my daily radiotherapy sessions - hence the up-early response.
Let’s hope the jibberish stands you in good stead tomorrow.
Perhaps you could let us know how you get on.
Kind regards,

Gareth.

Thanks for the frank comments Mark.
Your comments put me in mind of the late Tommy Dewar (of Dewar whisky fame) who said:-

‘ If we are put on this earth to help others, what are the others doing to help themselves?’

Kind regards,

Gareth.

Thanks for all the comments on the suspected issues of what it could be I will inform people of what the mechanics says tomorrow

1st things 1st you need it scanned and see what codes you've got and go from there ...

  • Solution

So after multiple lights and it being scanned etc all showing different faults it turns out it was a sensor on the back left passenger abs sensor that was faulty hence setting start stop / passenger air bag /abs / audi auto lights and many more lights off so touch wood this has resolved the issue as of now no lights on and back to normal just £165 quid lighter

Hi, I changed my battery as suggested on here, NO difference, I changed front ABS sensor as suggested on here, and NO CHANGE, and still my lights are coming on.

My lights come on when I slow to change direction or go to reverse park. It seems to be clutch related or gearbox related. Also I stop my car, switch ignition off and on again and rev the engine a little and the fault lights go to start again but dissappear..Then they stay off for a bit.

Welcome John,

I’m concerned that you have actually renewed two components due to it being suggested on here that they could be suspect. From my point, and I think the majority of responders on here, possible culprits are suggested on a test/confirm suspect/eliminate basis.
Did you confirm that both the battery and sensor were ar fault before you renewed them?
I am sorry to hear that you are still have problems, and one question I would ask is - have you had the alternator output checked.
Please John, I’m not suggesting that you change it! Just get the output checked.
Perhaps you could let us know how you get on.
Kind regards,

Gareth.

Mine was front passager abs sensor got one off eBay replaced myself.

Only found it was this after getting audi specialist to scan car with odis in depth vag scanner.

Replaced a few components unnecessarily before I got car scanned.

Many thanks indeed Mark.

I appreciate that diagnostics can be an expensive necessity in some cases, but it can often save money by hopefully ensuring serviceable parts are not changed unnecessarily.

Kind regards,

Gareth.
