Hi, my 2007 A4 1.9 tdi eng code BRB has died, Cambelt stripped a few teeth, 2 valves broken, 1 gone down into the piston. 

Basically what is the best option, repair and rebuild cylinder head or fit anither engine? 

Im tempted to swap the engine out for another, what engine codes are compatible? BKE? 

I have another A4 a b6 with a 1.9tdi AVF 130 bhp engine with low miles I could put in it but is it a straight swap?

Any similar 1.9 will fit. But if it's a different engine code then you will probably need the matching ECU. And having it all coded to your injection pump and instrument cluster
