ck762 Posted December 18, 2023 Share Posted December 18, 2023 I have a 2007 TDI Q7 which I love and want to keep going however recently it will randomly turn off. Typically I'm at a complete stop or a very slow "rolling stop" when out of nowhere the car turns off. I have to put the car in park and restart - which it does just fine. It doesn't do this at every stop or every "rolling stop" but here and there. Typically with weeks or months between the incidents. Even more rarely it will sputter and then if I'm able to get enough gas going it will kick back to life, if I don't catch it in time it will completely shut down. Took it to the dealer to have a full diagnostic run on it and they claim that they're not seeing any issues. Clearly there's an issue. Anyone else experience this? Or know what the cause could be?
