Hi,

I've unfortunately just damaged this pipe and it's snapped, in the process of fixing something else! 🤦🏻‍♂️ I have no clue what it is called though?? and can't find on Google so absolutely lost what I'm looking for to fix/replace.

Thank you. spacer.png

What engine is your c6?

Hi, it's the 2.0 TDI BRE 140bhp.

Thank you.

Did any liquid come out of it when you cut it?

I'm wondering if it could be a breather pipe.

No it seems to be a breather of some kind or vacuum. I will need to chase where it goes tomorrow. Just can't seem to find for looking and don't know the technical part name for it. If the T-peice isn't moulded I may be able to salvage it without replacing.

Hello W. Midlands Steve,

To avoid undue dismantling and expense:- consider measuring the outside diameter and buying the appropriate straight connector to re join. If it’s a very low pressure breather, you could  even find that a plastic push fit connector may suffice. Should be plenty on EBay.
Perhaps you could let us know how you get on.
Kind regards,

Gareth.

Hi, yes this is what I'm hoping I can do as I'm pretty sure is a breather. Will update on here once I've sorted within my £0 budget 🙈.

Cheers all!

All sorted! I believe it's an oil breather from the Tandem Fuel Pump. (pretty sure anyway!) Managed to snip the broken pieces and there was enough additional length left to refit without having to replace anything!

Not sure what refits to where?

Did you just remove the broken section out of the rubber sleeved T piece, and push the existing (slightly stretched section) back into the rubber sleeve?
Kind regards,

Gareth.

Yes removed the broken hard plastic inside the T Piece and then snipped the jagged broken end and refitted. As it is a hard plastic pipe. Cheers

The pipe itself is part of the vacuum system, will connect to 1 of the turbo/wastegate/egr valve solenoids
