Had a replacement keyfob the red light activates when pressing buttons and it starts the car but none of the remote unlock/lock buttons function.

I have tried the suggestions pressing unlock and turning the ignition and also using the door lock but neither seem to want to work.

Any suggestions as to how it can be paired properly?

Two fobs. One new one old. Issues with buttons not working on the new fob.

Swapped boards in the fobs to use the new casing as its not worn. The old board (in the new casing) now displays SAFE and won't start the car although all remote lock functions work.   New board (in the old fob housing) will however start the car still.

Any suggestions as to what this may be and how to resolve? Prior to swapping the boards around both would start the car.

Hi Steve ,

1: This means the signal value transmitted (sent ) to CAS Car Access System will recognise the Primary Value . But Not the Secondary Value , this is because this value is outside of its scope  Range parameters.  ( this means it will let you start the car but wont let you open it )

1a : This will show up as SAFE

The module that doesn't work has to be  cloned , copied to the one that does work

There is a way to override  SAFE, but this would cause you more issues as these keys do not match .

So identify the Fob  that locks and starts car , put a sticker on it,  get it copied .  cloned / Flashed . Jasonj

The confusing part is the module now showing SAFE did start the car before putting it in the new housing.

The other module started the car but doesn't unlock it and this is still the case.

So we have the original module that will now unlock but not start the car when it previously did both. The second newer module starts the car and does not unlock it which has always been the case.

All that has been done is to swap the working module into the newer housing as this doesn't have worn buttons and put the new module into the older housing to use as a spare although the remote unlock does not function.

Cloning either would still present an issue would it not? Neither performs both functions.
