Audi Q2 Quattro 2017

I need help!

I feel like I’m at wits end with this car. 5 days after owning it, the key fob connection fails mid drive, in the middle of the intersection, engine completely shuts off steering locks. Get it towed home. Did some research and replaced the key batteries, hasn’t happened again. Not long after it started to have intermittent shuttering and jerk (I think when it’s changing gears) usually it’ll happens 2/3 times but keep driving. One day I was stationary at lights, took off and again shuttering jerking forward, but this time over and over. Pulled over and was too scared to keep driving so I towed it back to the dealership, vehicle went straight to Audi Perth, they had it for almost a month, never being able to feel the shuttering but they replaced the entire gear box. I picked it up a week ago, shuttering continues but this time I took off at a green light and I got several issues on the dash.

- stop start failure (start engine manually) mind you I have that button flicked off always as I hate it

- electronic stabilisation control fault

- electro mechanical parking brake fail

- engine management light

All the above happened but it kept driving, didn’t shut down but I could feel the car was hesitant. After checking the user manual I thought best to tow it back to Audi. Audi couldn’t fault it again, they suggested putting my OLD gear box back in…and changing the mechatronic board?? The dealer I bought the car from said no, so I took the car back. Drove it today, still jerking forward every now and then but made it to my destination fine. After the car was parked for a few hours got back in to go home and whilst driving!! Auto stop start failure (start engine manually) engine shut off, steering locks, luckily I was at slow speeds.

I don’t know what to do with this car, the fact it shuts off mid driving terrifies me. I can’t tell if all these problems are related? Seems the issue comes after being off for a while??

Taking any advice at this stage. 😞

Get it back to the supplying dealer for them to sort. It should be free of charge if you live in the UK as under consumer you have 30 days for a full refund.
