A3 8p7 rear light removal

Featured Replies

light fitting on my Audi A3 convertible 2009 model. Trying to change the brake light bulbs. Can't see how it comes out help would be very much appreciated. Kind regards Jay

Welcome Jay,

Can’t  be certain on yours, but there is usually an indented ( partly cut through) piece in the boot side covering near to the back of the light. If you flip this open, it normally reveals a longish bolt which screws into the lamp - be very careful it doesn’t fall down behind the side covering! Once this is  out, the light can then be pull out a bit to reveal a plastic sort of ball and socket arrangement to the front end of the lamp. Carefully pull this away from the bodywork to remove the light unit.
Probably well worth checking on You Tube for your particular model.

Perhaps you could let us know how you get on.
Kind regards,

Gareth.m

Thank you for your reply. These are the photos for further information. I think it's different fitting to the normal saloon. Still can't figure it out. Don't want to force anything or break anything. Kind regards and thanks in advance
