Wing mirror indicator

Featured Replies

Hello, can anyone help with a failed driver side indicator on the wing mirror please. I understand the mirror glass needs to be removed but not too sure how to do it without breaking the glass. I wouldn’t be too concerned but the mot is due.

thanks

Thank you. I have sorted it now thanks.

The trick is to remove the glass which is stuck to a plastic backing which hold the heating element. I used a sucker to help pull the glass whilst gently prizing the mirror forward using a plastic prise tool. The mirror housing clips into place which must also be prised off using plastic prise tool. There are 4 lugs which need to be released and one Torx screw holding the indicator Ken’s in place . It’s fiddly but the mirror dies come away with some persuasion.
