Rear door won't open from outside.

I have a 2009 A3 1.9tdi with an issue. When unlocking the car using either fob or key all doors open except rear nearside. If I then open that door from within the car it will continue to open and close as normal but as soon as car is locked the fault returns. Any help greatly appreciated as just failed mot and need quick resolution.
