Isn’t working. No sound from motor. Can’t find a fuse listed in handbook.!!??
Will the motor have died?
conflicting opinion online if the bumper needs to be removed to  access the motor which is attached to screen washer bottle.  Anybody swapped out a motor ?
wipers are working fine btw!

I would not spend money on a new motor without testing the fuse first.

I am surprised the fuse is not shown in the handbook. Look at the underside of the fusebox cover. You may find some information there.

Well blow me! I found the issue. With the mot looming, thought I’d better get my finger out!
As above, a fuse for the windscreen washer pump is not listed.
Now during winter last year I removed the fuse for the rear wiper because 1/ I never use the rear wiper and 2/ if the front wipers are switched on, the rear wiper automatically operates when reverse gear id selected. As I often reverse from my drive, This can put strain on the rear wiper and blade if the rear window is frozen.
anyways, I refitted the fuse (number 47) hey presto, washers are working again.
Odd that there's no mention of a fuse for the windscreen washers. Hope this might be of use if somebody searches for same issue on a 2012, 8v.

So you haven’t had wipers since last winter!?
Coupled with that, you took the fuse out that controlled them!
And I thought my memory was bad.

Your actions give me some reassurances Ian.

Where do I say I’ve had no wipers ?

It’s always raining there’s no need for washers 😂😉

seriously,  once im through the mot I’ll remove the fuse again, I can’t be doing with a frozen to the window rear wiper! I’m just relieved it was an easy  fix. I  didn’t relish the thought of removing the front bumper to replace a faulty washer motor.

I still find it bizarre there is no reference to the fuse doubling up with the rear wiper for my car 🤨

Actually, that’s not a bad idea 🤔

But rather than remove the arm and blade (I dont like de wiperer’d  look) I might just unplug the connector at the motor 😁
