Hi the filler plug will be on the side somewhere near the drive shaft as for the level if you find the oil capacity thats it, if not get it up in the air and level and just fill until it starts running out of the filler hole.

Steve..

I have a Cabriolet with a 2.8 V6 engine, unlike yours it doesn’t have a drain plug on the gearbox sump instead the oil is pumped out through the gearbox dip stick tube and filled through through the same tube, I don’t know if your 2.3 has a dip stick tube but if it has you have you could fill it through this.

I would say Stevey Y has the answer though!

Thats great thanks.

Thanks Ian, thought so, but worth checking. I’m glad you are getting your priorities in order, and locating the filler plug first - then equally important, making sure you can remove it and have enough access to refill from that point, before removing the drain plug. Common sense does not always apply with such things!
Good luck and kind regards,

Gareth.
