Sound coming from Vacuum/Oil pump? Or bad belt tensioner?

Featured Replies

Hello, after replacing timing belt with pulleys and coolant pump. I noticed this sound. I checked all of the plastic covers, the belt condition and everything seems fine.
Can a new tensioner be bad or is it the oil/vacuum pump?

I attach the video here.

Hello, also the same sound here after changing the timing belt and coolant pump. I noticed that this sound is only with the cold engine. After some time the sound dissappear.

I doesn’t allow me to view the original video or sound clip if a new one wants to be posted

I got my 2.0TDI B9 quattro timing belt changed + the waterpump and when I got it back going uphill the car squeals its quiet unusual.

Have you checked your serpentine belt as may be contaminated with antifreeze which would cause slippage under load.

How do I check that?
