Driving in windy conditions

Featured Replies

How do your A1 perform in very windy conditions with a perfect suspension system?

Mine sways significantly if there are gusts of heavy winds and I find that it also sways when bigger cars go past me on the motorway under windy conditions. Is that normal?

Car's done 69k miles as of last week.

Pretty normal for a smallish car, your car will be on the light side so easily affected by wind and passing traffic

I might get an A5 next time around.

Hmm. I had the rear shocks and coils replaced a few weeks ago. Much better at the rear, but not that much better at the front.

I've played with tyre pressures, lowering them to a smoother ride, but that made little difference to the body roll at the front. Could it be a bad sway bar or something?

Thanks, Alex

Yup, did that a few months ago. Much better.
