Featured Replies

Hi.....not a newbie to this forum but forgot my sign in sh#t 😁

Question....... has anyone actually replaced their headlight bulbs with 100w ones??   i have stuck one in my daughters scirrocco as a temp thing and am gonna have a swap around putting a 55w out of my a3 into her car and sticking the 100w (along with another of course) into my car.....i keep reading about it will pop ya fuses and burn ya wires out etc etc .....is this actually true?? and has anyone replaced them and had no problems??   daughters been driving for a few days now and there aint been a problem....i am changing them over at the weekend .....so....???????    anyone??       cheers

The 100w bulbs will either melt the wires or the bulb itself will melt the housing.

They are for off road only and are not e marked to use safely on the road.

I did this years ago in my MK4 astra, had to replace the bulb holders.

TBH if no one has replied then they either don't know or haven't tried,
