A3 hatchback hard to shut hatch

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a 2025 Audi A3 Sportback.

Have an issue where the hatch is hard to lock fully closed.

Have to almost slam it which sounds unwise to ignore.

Have adjusted the 2 bump stops down some which has helped. A firm hand now results in fully closed.

Did notice the lock has no lubrication grease. Is this normal for a new Audi?

I can take it back to the dealer, but it's a 50 mile drive and waiting around for hours which I'll do if no other way but if it's an easy fix then great.

Thanks!

Thanks Tom,

My advice would be not to fiddle with this new car, but to return it to the/a main dealer and get it corrected under warranty.OK, a 50 mile trip ( no one nearer?). You have invested a lot of funds in this vehicle, so surely it’s worth a day of your time.

I think I might know what is wrong with it, but…
Regards,

Gareth.
