I'd want it gold plated for that price.

Icarsoft and topdon scanners, plus others do BMS resets . Be cheaper to buy one along with a battery and DIY .

Could buy new AGM battery, VCDS licence and still have change for a cheeky overnight stay in a 5-star hotel. That's Audi main dealer for you!

Let’s try to move this on, by winding it back a bit!
If (in caps) the local garage has sufficiently sophisticated equipment to full access the efficiency of your battery, and declare it below par:-

They are likely to fit a best-deal-to-them battery from the local motor factory, or, fingers crossed not one of a 3 letter chain under brand Lion, or the rebranded Starline ( or something like that).
Like most other marques, modern cars are becoming more and more battery condition sensitive, so buy once and wisely - I suggest nothing with less than a four year warranty.

What brands were you offered on line up to £150, and from which suppliers? Such information will likely be of help to others.

You will see looking back on ‘Battery’ associated threads, that I currently favour Exide, and have bought from Tayna and other suppliers.

Seems to be a lot of assistive comments made on this thread, but not a lot of positive progress.

Contributors seem to have reached a stage where repeating is all that can be done.

ive found varying degrees of help on here so im happy.without the knowledge provided on this forum id be paying a fortune for audi to fix. but then again i do get the car cleaned inc.of the price lol.

I have no doubt ‘they won’t rip you off’ price wise, but as you now know, there is an Audi price for an O.E. battery to Audi’s specification. Then there is the trusted local garage non-rip- off price, but we aren’t talking just price here, we are talking ‘quality’.
It’s sounds like a ‘just leave it to them to choose’ situation, and that’s fine. I’m at a bit of a loss to think why you didn’t just take it to them in the first place, and not be too bothered with seeking advice on here - which has been comprehensive.

Regards,

Gareth.
