Hi guys im new to this.. 

Ive got a Q5 3.0 tdi s-line 

My passenger  side door mirror  won't open up on auto if car has been  shut down for  around  30min or more.. it will  open  manual  after a few turns  of the door button.. after that it will  work  auto  and manual  until I shut car down again . Any help would be  greatly appreciated. 

I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up

Cheers Steve  I will  try that.. 

Might I suggest a good squirt of WD 40 or similar on the swivel point, and leave for a few hours. Your symptoms seem rather more complex, but that costs far less to try in comparison to the expensive diagnostic check.

I thought about  wd 40 but when  does  pivot it seams  free, its when I  first start car up the driver side  moves  out but passenger side doesn't  until  I twist   the  manual door  switch  a few times  then  passenger moves out, 

 

I'd guess the switch, because it's proven the motor is working

Ive got an OBD2 so I plug  that in see if it throws  anything up.
