Auto transmission

Featured Replies

I have used auto transmission many years ago. My Audi plugin hybrid drives really nice when using electric, but when using petrol, if I am not accelerating it feels as if the car is braking. Not when I am in traffic, but on an open road. Is that normal? It also changes from electric to petrol when there is enough electric to run on.

All advice gratefully recieved.

Hi the vehicle uses the battery to assist braking as the car is heavier than its predecessor also the changeover to petrol is dictated by the CCM when it has done its calculations it will be biased towards battery saving so you wont ever run out of electricity, thats the theory but with the newer models who knows.
