A4 Avant Rear Windows Go Down But Not Up

Featured Replies

As per the title. They try to come up, but get so far then go back down. I realise they are sensing some resistance and the safety thing is kicking in.

On the driver's side, I managed to make it work by spraying Silicone WD40 in the window grooves. That made a right mess, but it worked, and that window is now working as it should.

This didn't make any difference on the nearside though. I can get the window to come back up by grabbing the top edge while using the switch and helping it come up, but I have noticed that the glass is able to move front to back (of the car) within the frame. That doesn't seem normal.

Anyone else had this?

Hi look on YouTube, there is a process for resetting the windows with the key fob, its called global opening and closing.

Steve.
