Tailgate wiper spray

Featured Replies

My A3's tailgate wiper spray has stopped working. I've tried blowing/using a needle to see if blocked without success. Taken tailgate trim off to access the water line but can't remove the motor etc as the arm won't detach. Tried looking on YouTube but nothing found. Does the arm need to be forced off???

Update - Managed to get the water line disconnected and blow through the outlet. Still no water. Does anyone know how to remove the arm / motor??

hi mark, the arms on the rear can be very stubborn to remove, spray plenty of wd40 or something similar onto it and maybe leave it overnight to soak,a pullers might be needed if this fails but just be careful of the glass.Greg

I have used a puller in the past for a stuborn arm. Still have it. Better than a bent arm. About £11 from b&q. Cheaper on ebay

yes that might work along with penatrating fluid.

Thanks for your help guys. It was the directional jet's that where gunked. I'd tried to remove the cover many times but it was well and truly jammed on. Good old wd40 saved the day.
