Hi folks..Just want to say a big hello from Belfast.

I'm picking this up from Audi in Portadown on Monday.

It's a 2023 Q5 edition 1 ...2.0 TDI. with only 6300 miles and one owner .

It is on the 2 yearly service plan (not sure of the proper name for the 2 yearly plan )...so it has only had 1 service so far which was in June of 2025 .

The sales man said I have the choice to keep it on 2 yearly servicing or change to Yearly service....what do you folks recommend.

I do about 12k miles a year ...50 % motorway and 50% normal A and B roads .

Thanks 😊

Annual servicing without a doubt. Nobody ever suffered a problem by changing the oil earlier than recommended.

Thanks ....does a yearly service work out dearer than a 2 yearly one ??

Just ask the dealer Mark, but I would be surprised if it doesn’t.

Leaving this vehicle cover 24k miles between services is bonkers. Having said that, my understanding was that you either have annual servicing or a Longlife service schedule where servicing is carried out every 18K miles or 18 months - whichever come first - but things might have changed.

How long do you intend to keep the vehicle?

Regards,

Gareth.

Thanks Gareth...got talking to the service manager today and got it changed to a fixed yearly service...it's what I'm used to doing on my other cars .
