New Rear Springs

Featured Replies

Hi Team,

Can you help please help. Just had new rear springs fitted but the result isn’t what I or the local garage expected. Supplier has checked the colour code on original spring and has advised, correct springs have been supplied.

I don’t remember seeing the seat area where the bottom of the broken spring sat but the seats where the new springs sit appear incorrect but they have to be there.

Car sitting approx. 30mm too high, 264mm springs supplied.

Last photo is as car sat approx. 4 weeks ago.

Please see photos, any advice would be really appreciated.

Ian

Hi, has car settled after a while? How did you sort it?

Also, could you advise the tyre size, please?

Hi, not sorted yet, everything points to the fact that they are correct, even from the manufacturer. I’ve decided to go with OEM from Audi. Paying for a job twice isn’t the best and the cost for Audi ones are quite expensive compared to aftermarket. Not sure I’ll get the money back on the springs.

Once again, hindsight is a wonderful thing and thank you for asking.
