myAudi function store licence renewal issue

I am trying to renew my 'Audi connect remote & control' licence through the myAudi app functions store but coming up against 'A technical error has occurred' and 'PAYMENT ACCOUNT INACTIVE' i have been backwards and forwards with audi digital support but apart from suggesting "delete the app and redownload it" or "make sure your details are filled out correctly" they are not coming back with any useful information or solutions for the problem. I have used the same app/account to purchase the licences for other cars i have owned but now i cant. Has anyone experienced anything similar and solved the issue somehow ?

Update from Audi digital support "Our technical support team have made an adjustment, You can now proceed renewing your licence via the app." ...... No products available
