Not to good with the spelling sorry excelerating

The correct spelling is accelerating  but don't worry!

Firstly, check the wheels and tyres and that's an obvious place to start. Any buckles or deformities etc

If not then the multitronic gearbox can be known to cause problems unfortunately. I would take it to an auto gearbox specialist to take a look at it as a replacement will be very expensive.

hi all

I have a A4 Advent s-line that runs very lumpy once going over 3000 revs.

Have put fuel cleaner in tank but makes no difference and the symptom is getting worse.

A local garage put the car through a diagnostic test but this showed nothing being flagged.

the car drives smoothly at speed but only if you take it steady to get there.

any ideas please

I have an A4, 06 plate. It has been resident at Audi Doncaster for about the last seven weeks, due to a starting issue,. If the car is parked facing up hill it simply will not start, it just turns over, even if it does fire, it is extremely lumpy for a few seconds. Once running however, it is fine.

Audi cannot seem to fix the problem, they have changed the fuel pump, tandem pump, injectors and are still scratching their heads. (as I am) Is there anyone who has experienced this and managed to solve the problem? If so, what was the cause?

I had new head gasket fitted last summer which is roughly when this problem started..... I don't know if this is a clue?

had a engine run problem last year trouble starting new injectors erg valve and other bits turned out to be a rag in duct next to turbo removed all was fine the van had been hunting at idle for a year before the loss of power and not starting.

But that said my fault is lumpy erratic power from the engine/transmission and not wheel balance issue.
