Evening all,

New member post regarding my 2010 A3 TDI.

Whilst there is a lot of talk of the A3 having an inadequate grille when it comes to stone damage, I don't think I can lay blame when I struck a pigeon at 80mph on the M40. The pigeon managed to rearrange the grille and damage the A/C condenser for goodwill. I've noticed that there is a piece of plastic that has now fallen diagonally across my condenser. Could someone enlighten me as to what this piece could be, and how easy it would be to remove it?

Audi wanted £750+ to replace the condenser and just under half that for a new grille :(

Many thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark...welcome to the Forum

I was tempted to ask how the pigeon got on but thought better of it.

I suppose if you're not using the Air Con until the condenser is replaced (along with the grille) then you could remove it or refit it then.

Let us know how you get on with it all

Cheers  Trevor
