lennoxlewis
Hi there, My roof closes fine altough i find it a tad slow. On the other hand, opening is a different story. Still very lazy and slow but fails to complete operation at about 50%. I have to give it a little push with a finger, pushing it up and then it goes and gets things done. What should i go first? Is it a problem with the hidraulics or electric motor? How can i diagnose it?
Steve Q
Hey Lennox, it does sound to me like the motor is on its way out, as it's operation should be smooth and consistent. Insure how you'd test to confirm though. Sorry
lennoxlewis
Apparently oil level has influence on operating. Unfortunately it's not easy access. cheers
niedzial1983
I would start from cleaning out all the rails sliders etc anything that could potencialy restrict movment of the sunroof and give it a bit of waterproof silicon lubricant to all moving parts
jonbrightonA4
i replace my roof pump was a very simple process and very easy to access back rear quarter in boot plenty of on line instructions and as long as you remove the amp only 3 bolts hold it in place instead of swapping full pump i tried just the motor first and bingo was all good excellent step by step guide on www autoelectron co uk as a non mechanical guy it took me 85 mins and probably saved me hundreds
lennoxlewis
guys, i may have found the fault. On the left side there is oil leaking from the hidraulics of the roof. Is it something we can replace? I cant find the leak itself but when i put the roof down, i have oil on the plastic cover. It's maybe the leak that is causing low power to put the roof up. The strange part is: the oil level is ok. I tested it with the roof down btw
