cliffg007
I have just had my car serviced and got talking (as you do) to the Audi guy about Adblue. He said my car had a DPF even though it uses Adblue. I was under the impression that you had one OR the other. Who is correct? Cliff
niedzial1983
Every diesel after 2007 have DPF regardless if it has adblue or not
Steve Q
Yep Piotr is right dpfs were brought in 2007 to meet the, then new emissions rules. However there are new rules in.which are even stricter. Hence the adblue. Basically a dpf reduces the amount of particulates an engine produces whereas adblue is designed to reduces the amount of nitrates the car produces. Hope I've helped :) Cheers Steve
niedzial1983
I think dpf was introduced to meet euro emmition standard 5 and adblue to meet euro
