Welcome to the forum Vivian you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :)

Have you had a diagnostic check carried out on the car at all? If not, then it would be recommend.

I'm wondering if the car is having trouble starting when the engine is warm. Are all the dials showing any issues? Ie temp?

Sorry I can't help more

Cheers

Thanks Steve for the reply it is when the engine is warm the problem starts I am taking it to a garage on Tuesday but it would be nice to know beforehand what it may be. photo of the dash with a warning sign I think

Hmm, what does your hand book say?

I'd like to think it's just a sensor to be honest. I say this because you've not experienced any over heating.

The problem has now been fixed it was the coolant temperature sensor out of range! So the total cost was £60 for the sensor and £40 labour = £100 I was advised to have a genuine Audi sensor what is your opinion Steve ?
