  1. I’ll check the size on mine later when it stops raining
  2. Thanks again John for your understanding. I think through all of this, lessons have to be learnt, and as I keep saying you are indeed right - the forum interchange between members is restricted to a relative few, and is unfortunately dwarfed by the number of quests for assistance. Let me come clean - my non-Audi is a Jaguar, the current being the fourth in as many decades, and I have first hand knowledge of the member to member interchange (and banter) on the forum there - it is great, albeit often off topic! , but it is an interchange. So I know full well what you mean. If only we could encourage such interchange on here. It’s pleasing to hear you intend to buy a Q5, and I wish you well in your search, and we really hope the forum maybe of some use to you once you have found the right one. Take care. Kind regards, Gareth.
  3. You did, and it's appreciated. I will indeed become an active member. Modern cars are complex and a little knowledge can go a long way. It's often possible to learn more from other owners than from main dealers, who can be less helpful, and sometimes, less knowledgeable.
  4. Please feel free to make suggestions on how the forum can improve. I trust if you purchase a Q5 you'll become an active member? Also I did offer some advice which hasn't been acknowledged.
  5. Hello Colin , and welcome from the other end of the Homeland, to you and your son. Kind regards, Gareth.
  6. Hello Colin, Glad to hear the car meets your expectations in all respects - except for the spare wheel. As I see it, you have what the car was originally equipped with:- a compressor, and a container of tyre sealant. With these, you won’t have had a jack or a wheel brace, since there wasn’t a spare to replace. Where to go:- I would be looking on EBay for suitable space saver, and a jack and wheel base and their foam holder. Sub woofer will probably have to be repositioned. Kind regards, Gareth.
  7. 1 point
That's the most fun setting 🙂
  8. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂
  9. It was the name for the women who sat by the guillotine, knitting the names of those being executed into scarves during the French Revolution...😆
  10. Definitively can fit space saver to A4 saloon.I have a 20 plate A4 saloon sport 40TFSI. I purchased the kit form Listers Audi Stratford On Avon.
  11. But coming here and being negative about the forum is also unhelpful if you're not going to suggest ways to help improve it? Why don't you stay and help improve it? I'm assuming you've looked on YouTube at buyers guides. As stated issues with dpf, egr are documented as well as issues with adblue systems. Cars that have missed services or had poor maintenance will most likely have most problems.
  12. Hello John, I would like to welcome you to the forum, and wish you well with your new car. Hopefully you won’t need us to advise on issues, but please let us know if you do. Kind regards, Gareth.
  13. Hi Pete, my Audi A4 Sport also has 17" wheels and the 19" space saver is the same outside diameter. I bought my spare wheel from the wheel shop and they informed me that 19" space saver is the recommended spare wheel size for any size of wheels fitted to the Audi A4 B9.
