  1. Car is at my son's place in Manchester. It requires a new front exhaust section, so unless the buyer lives in the M20 area it will need to be trailerd away? I bought the car 3 years ago and it had all new breaks fitted pads/discs around early 23. My intentions was to restore it to mint condition but I live in Lincolnshire and I borrowed it to my son In Manchester when the exhaust went at the front ( we can not source the part so I haven't the inclination or time, so it has to go unfortunately. It runs great has 10 months mot. The front driver side wheel arch has some bubbles and there's a few scuffs and scratches. I was going to spend £350 having the paint work done. The engine management light came on with the exhaust problem. Full service history and lots of history. Genuine offers please, it will make someone happy. Paul. The minimum I will except is £600 thanks.
  2. Hi yes normally O2 sensors need changing every 80k or five years if yours is the original I think you can safely say its had its fun. Steve.
  3. Its amazing how things can happen, was out in the driveway last night and a guy from the top of my street commented how nice my sons A3 looked. He mentioned his son had a 2020 A3 but it got wrote off and he got another car on the insurance. I mentioned I needed a spare wheel and he quickly got on his phone rung his son up and found out he had a 18" Audi spacesaver (125/70/18) in his shed. I bought it from him for £30 , also bought a 2.5T Jack / toolkit from Amazon and am awaiting 5 wheel bolts for the spacesaver from GSF cars. The best thing is the subwoofer fits perfectly inside the spacesaver wheel. My son is a happy chappie !!!
  4. Thanks Magnet, I have just edited the post and added a price.
  5. You are very welcome Jay. Good luck with it all. Fingers crossed here that it all works out for you, and you will soon be able to enjoy it. Kind regards, Gareth.
  6. @Magnet Thanks Gareth and everyone else for the help. Ive spoke with two mechanics now who have both given me great advise but to sum it up they have said due to it being mapped I am best to go to a re mapper with a dyno and get it fully checked out before I move on with anything else. So just in contact with one now to see when they can book me in. Thanks again all.
  7. John. You have not mentioned how much you paid for the car, but I doubt it was a lot considering its age and mileage, in which case I fear it will cost you more in money and time to get recompense than the car is worth. I suggest you swallow the bitter pill and accept that you have been conned, then move on to either repairing or replacing the car.

Thanks for the welcome Jason ... I'm currently looking at RS models, maybe a 4 or 5 or 6 Avant or Sportback.
  9. Hi, Not an Audi owner but my wife's 2014 Citroen C4 Picasso had exactly the same issue. Lovely and hot on the passenger side and luke warm at the best on the drivers side. In the end had the matrix changed at my usual garage which luckily was not a big job (approx 1 1 /2 hours) but still cost £295 for parts and labour, The result after was a very hot car from all vents.
  10. Thanks overall im hoping he will just pay to get it sorted. As i really do like the car and wanted on for ages. But if not its small claims court a go. thanks for such great advice. Especially as this is my first time posting.
  11. Hi Jason, thanks for posting. I actually managed to open it last night. the A-pillar is one long piece that goes all the way back past the B-pillar. I needed to open the front end of the c-pillar trim to get to a fixing that was holding the A-pillar in place. The way to get to it is to remove the reading light first which is pretty straighforward (pry it open it from the pointy end of the light as there is a spring clip there). Once that was out I was able to access the fixing holding the back end of the trim piece. I was able to open a lot of the a-pillar - however the front end is held with a cable tie at the base (strange, but definitely factory as I check the other side and it was the same). it's also pretty well connected to the airbag. But I was able to open it enough to get some adhesive backed foam on the a-pillar itself so hopefully that might do something for me. if not at least i know how to get back in - but patience is wearing thin! i'll see how it goes and will post an update if necessary in the off chance it might help someone in the future.
  12. Thanks Ian, He has done well in his career so far , I know sending him to college for 2 years to get his qualifications needed to work in a well paid local paper mill has turned up trumps. He hated me at the time for sending him there but quite regularly thanks me now. Probably helps that I work there to but I don't tell him that !!!
