  1. Hi. Glad no issues on the insurance front. Regards, Dan.
  2. Glad you got confirmation regarding insurance. I'm genuinely surprised there aren't any that'll fit.
  3. Appreciate the advice gents. Turns out it was an injector issue (that triggered no warning lights). Bit of injector cleaner sorted the issue. im still thinking of replacing the throttle body as the actuator code is still live. Let me know if you think that’s a waste of money 🙃

Chris. In your place I would be more concerned at ensuring the car has a complete service history than an ancient recall or update. As for the free health check, bear in mind that nothing worthwhile in life is ever free. The only checks that will be done are those that any sensible person would do before buying a car.
  6. Hi Steve, sorry for the late reply. Yesterday was crazy busy trying to sort car out but the good news is it's fixed!! I think i saw here in this topic someone saying there's only 3 sensors but in fact it's 4. The 2 on the top close to the lambda sensor and nox,one that comes straight up at the bottom(orange plug) and yesterday saw another one underneath the turbo if I'm not mistaken( black plug). Bought a new sensor(black plug) and tried it on that plug and no error whatsoever and since I had bought one a few months ago and the shape and plug being exactly the same I just used it and no errors,no lights, nothing all day!! Returned the sensor and saved £57!! Thanks for your support and replies, very much appreciated. Raul
  7. It might be worth checking to see your insurance view on side steps as a lot of insurance companies see them as a mod and won't cover them.

The 35 tyres are Audi standard spec on the SLine Sportster. Yes it’s a fairly hard ride but I accept that on a ‘sporty’ TT. I have had FIVE previous TT Coupe’s - all with ‘sensible’ tyres. After finding and downloading an Audi Owners Manual I have clarified that the tyres are NOT run flats. Your advice that having not standard tyres may have an insurance effect is not something I have thought about - thanks. I will look at the tyre brands you suggest - thanks again.
  9. Thankyou so much for your help. Your advise made me 🤔 and one thing led to another. Now my problem is solved. Thankyou. Chris.
  10. C8 models 2019 onwards. 2.0TDI engine is robust and will be paired with 7-speed S Tronic gearbox. That needs serviced every 38k miles. V6 variant, then 8-speed TipTronic. Diesel 2.0 litre will be timing belt, so renew along with auxilliary belts every 60k miles plus water pump, etc. Personally I’d look for Quattro. That adds a few mpg but it’s surefooted and will help sell thereafter. Like anything, servicing is key. You want paperwork and lots of it. Avoid long service intervals. These are also sensor heavy, so consider purchasing VCDS as checking and clearing codes is £200 from Audi. All diesels, then you’re into AdBlue (Euro6), EGR, DPF, etc. Not sure when mild hybrid system started on petrol and diesel, but it’s complex. Search VAG Technic. It might have been an A8 but it caused them grief to fix. Faults, then rear coil spring seats are known weak point. The alloy corrodes from within the rubber. Rear subframes are just powder coated, so get there with Lanoguard. Front multi link suspension usually good for 100k miles, but will be hydrabushes, etc. On car around 50k miles, then potentially some arms if any knocks. Lemforder or Meyle HD. Another option is A6 Allroad, that’s air suspension. Extras worth getting, matrix headlights, auto towbar if you tow, full panoramic. It’s all money, but something to consider.
  11. Hi the anomaly with this is that sometimes it will show bank 1 because bank 3 is not suppling the correct information to bank 1 sometimes it is bank 1 but I normally always suspect bank 3 as this has the hardest life in the system you did the right thing pulling the plugs but if you have a reasonable diagnostic platform you can check the temp on each sensor in line and its usually the sensor that reads nowhere near the other two thats duff, I have even had it where the last sensor is reading -70 degrees, really!! the check for temp is available in the live data and if as you say one sensor made no difference I would assume thats the one. Steve. Steve.
  12. Hi Andy, used loads of peoples differing software and found shall we say quite a few variations on codes the cheaper they get the more lethal they become bit of a minefield really that was why a few years ago I bought VCDS, that definitely nailed it every time, in saying that the new cab I have is a VW Passat and my VCDS wont go near it as everything is protected by the new SFD system, I wont go in to any detail because its long and boring but suffice to say that post 2020 you can't do a blasted thing on the car without having the right system, thats when I bit the bullit and bought OBD Eleven pro, yes you have to buy tokens to perform some functions but its about as as good as VCDS but without the hefty price tag, VCDS latest multi vin software is nearly £700 but OBD came in at £104 with a token bundle its a lot slower scanning as its bluetooth but it gets there and gets you what you need, the diagrams are from my new system, the good news is the part number for all three is the same. Steve.
