  1. Hi when you fit any new air flow part/sensor you must use VCDS or similar to readapt the new part in simple terms it gets the new part to re learn its operating parameters, try driving the car for a while and see if the light drive cycles out. Steve.
  2. Hi if its DSG it might be the shims are slightly out on the new clutch, and ask a silly question did they change the flywheel. Steve.
  3. Hi you are supposed to change the last two numbers of the original serial number and yes the BEM accepts that regardless of brand, 0.1 of a volt is acceptable over a few hours its such a small drop, in the car it will drop to 11.5 volts on a cold night until you get it started and it quickly recovers to over 12 volts is your alternator charging check done at the battery or from the alternator itself. Steve.
  4. Hi probably, its a bit of a sod to get to but doable. Steve.
  5. Its a small back box and the connector plug becomes corroded, mine was only like it one side so the left hand beam was searching for coins in the gutter, cleaned it and the lights levelled as they should.
  6. Well Roy if you are only driving six miles or so to the shops it probably will, if you do a lot more milage daily thats where the problems begin with the lack of coding especially if the car is some six years newer than yours and the electrics are totally different. Steve.
  7. Hi do you mean the light range control unit, if so its under the scuttle cover on the outside of the car on the side where the fresh air sensor [peculiar brown/black thing] is mounted. Steve.
  8. Hi the code is thrown up by a lack of correlation between the MAP and MAF sensor I think you should replace the MAF as they normally need replacing as a pair especially at that milage and the MAF will need to be readapted. Steve.
  9. Hi roy the amount of unrecognised batteries I have come across is breathtaking, I personally got through three new batteries on one of my Mondeos before I learned of the battery counter reset function, fortunately my supplier was very accommodating as I was spending about three grand a year with him otherwise I might not have been so lucky, there are only so many DUFF batteries in circulation. Steve
  10. Hi if you don't recode a battery the BEM module will carry on charging the new battery at the same rate as the knackered battery effectively cooking it internaly. Steve.
  11. Hi it will be the modified pistons and rings and associated gaskets and seals, they know its a problem and after the good old boys in the U.S. cained them they decided it was easier to cave in and produce a retro fit piston and ring assembly. Steve.
  12. Hi I don't know who told you the injectors don't need coding but they are misinformed, even my first cab a MK3 mondeo 2004 vintage needed any new injectors coded otherwise it ran like a bucket of bolts, if the car has a pcm it has to be informed and registered with it. Steve.
  13. Hi BP ultimate is crap another good one is Esso. Steve.
  14. Hi no the valve is replaceable done it before its only held in with a rubber fixing, why would you replace it with a new servo, £££££, you can soak the seal in WD and wiggle it out then pressure test it by using an air line or simply blow down it and then try and suck air through it if you can suck air its probably knackered. Steve.
  15. Hi its normally the one way valve in the servo body letting air back into the chamber the whining is probably air moving the wrong way past the valve. Steve.
  16. Hi try ECU Testing they have a fix for just about every rogue part on any dash pod. Steve.
  17. Hi there is miles of difference between the two, try a tank of Shell V Power and enjoy the non surgical smile it produces, the alternative [cheaper] is use an Octane booster Hydra and Archoil do some really good versions. Steve.
  18. Hi glad you found the cause of the water ingress whats already in there should disperse via the breather vent on the light and the silicone won't be letting any more in. Steve.

Hi try Valeo specific fit Aero flat, normally the cheaper kits come with multiple adaptor to fit most cars its just a case of working out which adapter suits your wiper arm, specific fit all only fit your vehicle. Steve.
  20. Hi the Adblue filler is next to the fuel filler its circular and made of plastic with a 17mm plastic bolt on the top, if its the filler flap that won't open there is an emergency release red cable behind the boot trim that side. Steve.
  21. Hi there is video for the light unit removal on you tube, just plumb in Audi Q7 matrix headlight removal its a 2017 model so it can't be that different as they only fitted these to 2016 up models the one I worked on was a 2015 with HID FISH EYE lenses. Steve.
  22. Hi the only way to get to the back covers is remove the headlight assembly, remove silly trim panel over the light which is held on with a twist clip, remove the two screws that secure the unit, pull out light so you can remove wiring connector and remove the unit, the ballasts are attached to the rear covers which need to be unscrewed and pulled away from the connectors, then remove the covers and get going with the hair dryer, when reassembling coat the gaskets with silicon grease and put the thing back together. Steve.
  23. Hi my impression of refurbished would be new seals and pistons and then a repaint, hey-ho thats just me. Steve.
  24. Hi the front bumpers will be the same on the estate as they are on the saloon, they have not got that finicky with the body parts yet and along as its a year either side of your one they should fit its only rear bumpers that are a bit different, give you an example I was after driveshafts for mine and most of the monkeys will say what side do you need when both shafts are exactly the same size but have a different letter at the end of the part number which is designed to scare the crap out of the average buyer as I said before the letters are just year designations. Steve.
  25. Hi please let the forum know how you get on. Steve.
