there is a halfords one on ebay £120 item no 115868469601( 22miles from you)any good i was told though it would need coding to your car. regards stephen

as steve has said it could have stretched.chains stretch belts stretch so i changed mine along with the rollers

sorry my mechanic skills are terrible.and i never read your post properly.mines a belt one and was done by a garage 60,000 miles ago but audi recently said its slightly out.and i dont know how long its been like this ,but still ran okish.audi timed it up properly.

i didnt know my timing was slightly out until audi told me on a routine suspension check.

this is without labour my front end had to be brought forward to do it(put into service mode)has the auxillary belt and rollers been done if not have them done too

just done mine.front end has to be moved forward.what mechanics call service mode.thats where the cost lies.to make it easier to get to the cambelt.have the auxillary belt and idlers done while they are in there.as they are both side by side.and like steve has said have the water pump replaced for sure.here is mine(ignore the info of the thermostat if you dont need to change yours).

hi did this gearbox come on a pallet.ask the seller who delivered it if the courier can come and pick it back up.its not your fault if you were assured it would fit.regards stephen

hi mark.nice place, my in law lives in little neston....could it be a faulty sensor. how would you feel about getting your hands dirty.have a good look around the engine.if you can check underneath the car to make sure that there is no oil leaking from the sump plug.i am assuming you will have to undo the plastic tray underneath to do this.and of course while your under there check all round for oil leaks.if you find any leaks can you take pictures and post them on here please.or maybe have a diagnostic check for any fault codes.thanks stephen
