exactly clifford. i had to get the garage to free the caliper holding bolts as my snap on would not shift them and as above cleaned and sprayed the area

can someone help me decide which battery would best suit my audi a4 avant estate 2.otdi stop /start as its now showing a few faults,and suspect its the battery.or should i just use halfords and let them decide.thanks stephen

as a last resort take it apart then you will know for sure😁

it so frustrates me when i read so many times about a garage diagnosing something and it still does not fix the problem.note the garage says( according to their diagnostics) to cover themselves.🤕

have you checked each door also under the bonnet and even in the boot do you have an owners manual

On my 2011 audi a4 the process is, press once to unlock the drivers door and press again to unlock the passenger doors(as mentioned above).press my middle button on the fob for around 3 seconds for the boot release.or unlock the boot by pressing the unlock button on the drivers door twice. in the latter(this will only work through the drivers door if i have the boot turned off in my settings through the mmi system.regards stephen

this is what i dread when i put the key in my audi a4 2011....as in your first post "no lights"....we know its a guessing game.could be a battery, faulty wiring, key fob problems.ignition barrel itself.steve Q has mentioned about getting hold of an auto electrician.with it been the weekend now.do you have AA or RAC home start ?
