HELP - What is this noise?!
A couple of things to bear in mind …if there’s no exhaust parts hanging down /loose, Maybe a stone trapped between brake disc and backing plate ! It happened to me once! Maybe a damaged backing plate making contact with a brake disc? I noticed a squealing sound at one point … maybe a sticking brake calliper? Are any of your brake disc getting exceptionally hot?

Hi all, newbie alert! Decent workshop manual
I’m not sure such a thing exist. though they were slagged off at the time (by some) back in the day PRINTED Haynes manuals were invaluable. I believe there are too just too many various types in any particular model range to make a comprehensive Haynes manual feasible today. There appears to be a HAYNES online manual.. don’t know how comprehensive that would be.

Brake Calliper Part Number Query?
Last month I had a rear caliper fitted to my 1.4tfsi. It has an EP brake. searching around I found prices to be all over the place. you can get them new (with motor) from eBay for about £90! prices go over £300 plus… and some vendors charge a surcharge for your old caluper. I settled on one for £177 inc vat. (No surcharge) from brakes international. I paid £80 labour to have it fitted at a local Audi specialist. i dint look to buy a caliper without motor .. I wasn’t aware this was an option !?? I guess if money is no object, you could replace both callipers at the same time but callipers do not necessarily require changing in pairs based on the off chance the one not replaced is going to fail any time soon.

Supermarket Fuel
Timely post! only last week did I experiment by filling with V Power. I've been experimenting with the drive select function in my A3 and have been amazed by the difference in performence between the settings especially the "Dynamic" setting which tightens up the steering and adds quite a bit of pep to performance. thought I'd bung in V Power to see if performance could be improved further...I can confirm I found a noticeable difference...throttle response is improved and maybe placebo effect but the engine certainly sounds a bit smoother to my ears!?? . I'll probably do another fill with Shell V Power to clean before I return to my usual with this car. After running my last A3, a 2.0TDI (BKD engine) exclusively on shell (not Vpower) I'm currently using small brand (ESSAR) petrol whilst not a supermarket fuel im aware it is not up there with premium brands.. but all seems fine so far. https://www.petrolprices.com/brands/essar/

I’ll check the size on mine later when it stops raining- Drive Select
Without doubt dynamic. That said, it’s back to efficiency now I’ve had play time ☺️- Drive Select
Had the A3 a couple of months now.. until last weekend I hadn’t played much (at all) with the drive select settings. Tbh, when viewing cars, id dismissed drive select as gimmicky… little did I know what a huge difference the various options enable. Sooo much fun 😁- Full size spare wheel in boot
https://amzn.eu/d/ifkG2nv- What happens to cars you part exchanged with Audi?
Some dealers would have had “contacts” who would take the cars not suitable to retail at the dealership. This doesn’t happen so much now instead, none brand, too old or higher mileage cars tend to go to auction.- Wing mirror indicator repeater
Isn’t it funny we still call them wing mirrors ? … i myself still do- Disappointing forum - too much trouble to respond?
This- Post a photo of your Audi
I do like a bronze wheel on a black car.- Post a photo of your Audi
That will look sweet. Look forward to the pics- Front end rattle/rumble
In my experience a failing wheel bearing usually makes a humming noise which is more pronounced when turning a corner. Also as the bearing deteriorates, roughness can often be felt through the coil spring if the wheel is off the ground and spun. - Sons new A3 something is missing
