Similar issue with mine sometime ago, but continuous bleep. Turned out just one sensor had failed. One failed = all don’t work. Kind regards, Gareth.
-
Many thanks indeed Graham. For what it costs, I would be first changing the pressure sensor, since was a well documented issue. Kind regards, Gareth.

I really can’t understand the mentality of asking a question and not bothering to at least acknowledge responses made. Should we ask Admin to warn Peter that any future posts requiring help, will need to be authorised before being listed?
-
So is it sorted then (name?), now that it’s been topped up?
-
Hello whoever (Joe??), As Stevey Y points out. If the reversing light/ lights work then you should be getting 12v to the module, so you will need to check that. Normally when the reverse sensors don’t work, you get a longer continuous bleep when reverse is selected. Back to:- if you have 12v to the module, then chances are one or more sensors have gone. Which one? 2 mins of diagnostics. Kind regards, Gareth.

Welcome Gary - fire away. Kind regards, Gareth.

Hello Laura, Notice you have revisited the forum. Got some answers for us ?? Please don’t risk tainting the image of the Welsh, by being one of the Post & Run members Laura. Kind regards, Gareth.

Hello Sean, The simplest way forward is not to concern yourself with where it’s from, but to drive back to whoever did the accident repair, and ask them to sort it for you. If you don’t fancy driving to where it was repaired, you could input the visible part number in a website such as LLL Parts, and you may find the answer there. Perhaps you could let us know how you get on with either of those suggestions Sean. Kind regards, Gareth.

Good morning David, Welcome, and good to hear about the new car. Re. front sensors:- I find it strange that Audi have gone to the expense of fitting sensors (rather than say blanks) into a front bumper, if it wasn’t built with front sensors - Audi want to extract c£120 out of our wallets if we want to buy one sensor off the shelf. If it were mine, I would be checking the build record from the VIN ( dealer Parts Dept. should help via. a visit rather than a phone call). It’s worth keeping in mind that even if a Sport is not normally equipped with them, it’s alway possible that they were specified with them at the build. Kind regards, Gareth.

Seems Peter is having a day off Dany, so no one is any the wiser , but that’s three of us who have spent our time on a Saturday. I’ve strimmed 3 lawns and about 30 mtrs. of verges, painted a shed door, had a look at how I can put a new belt on a mower, Oh, and spent some time answering questions on here. That’s been my day off! Good, isn’t it?

Odd Cliff. Any answers/comments for us Peter - can see you revisited the forum? Kind regards, Gareth.

Thanks Benjamin, My stab at it is, it is nothing to worry about. If it was, it would be in yellow or red. It is likely to be just an icon used to display fuel associated data, such as the mpg. it shows. Kind regards, Gareth. Any other owners confirm this for Ben??

Thanks Laura, Please give us a bit more to go on:- engine size, petrol, diesel etc. What have you already had checked, how long has this symptom been going on, has it got worse? etc.etc. Kind regards, Gareth.

Hello Lisa, Lee has not returned to the forum since 1st March, so could I suggest you send him a PM. Perhaps you could then update us, for the benefit of others. Kind regards, Gareth.

Thanks Chris, but to change the battery without testing it would be impulsive. Not cheap, will need to buy a good brand, and battery will need to be coded to the car. Change if proved to be substandard. Come back to us if it does, and we can point you in the right direction for good deals. Kind regards, Gareth.

What colour is the icon in Benjamin?
-
Welcome Peter and thanks for joining. Who is quoting you? The best way to test if this is competitive ( in your area) is to ring around and enquire. To me? Possibly borderline too cheap. The all important thing here is there quality of the blades that will be fitted. Could be cheapest Chinese ones available - which I wouldn’t waste my money on. Way forward - in addition to above:- Go on EBay and do a search for Bosch front and rear blades, so you know the parts cost. Then insist on this make blades being used in the fitment and get your quotes for fitting these. Perhaps you could let us know how you get on. Kind regards, Gareth.

Hello Graham, The car is still under warranty so you really shouldn’t concern yourself about the whys and wherefores, but just concentrate on ensuring they fix the problem properly. If it were mine, I would be sending them an e-mail confirming bringing the car in on the 2nd August to rectify the problem of……….. ( describe it). By doing this, you have a written record of the issue being registered, in the event of recurring problem with it. Kind regards, Gareth.

Welcome Klevis, Difficult to say without the car, but could be drive shaft/s. Kind regards, Gareth.

led lights A3 LED Headlamp Upgrade: Need MOT, Washer & Insurance Advice
Magnet replied to NizA3Sport's topic in Audi A3 (8V) Forum
Many thanks Nizam for updating us on the good news regarding the insurance implications I guess it now only leaves the potential MOT implications to be considered. Kind regards, Gareth. -
Many thanks indeed Gojko, Don’t want to come over as patronising, but you’ve been great, and explained everything for the benefit of others. Thank you so much for doing that - you’ve made my day! If it were up to me I’d be escalating your membership now to ‘Established Member’. Take care, and kind regards, Gareth.

Welcome Danny, and thanks for joining. Hopefully, we may have a reply from Benjamin, but it’s worth preparing for not having one. Can I ask:- Are all tyres matching - particularly in thread depth? Does the noise vary when you travel around bends, and the vehicle load shifts from one side to another? Can you perhaps trace the noise source as being more from the front or the back? Have you tried swopping back wheels to front and vice versa. Kind regards, Gareth.
-
Many thanks for the useful update Gojko. Wheel bearing issues usually show themselves up when cornering and the additional load affects to bearing on the loaded side - noise changes. Great that you have fixed it. Kind regards, Gareth. p.s. As a matter of interest, what mileage has it done to need new wheel bearings?
-
Welcome Scott, Wondered if you could do a bit better than that for a first post. Why are you asking etc. what are your hopes/ intentions etc? Kind regards, Gareth.

2003 Audi A4 convertible - for Restoration.
Magnet replied to NSU Andy's topic in Audi Cars for Sale and Wanted
Thanks Andy, and welcome to the forum. I’ve removed your direct contact details from this open forum for your own security. Any interested parties can contact you by PM. Very much as Clifford recommends, and to reinforce - could you please state the price which would be acceptable to you, rather than a potential of ‘Offers’. Kind regards, Gareth.
