You're most welcome 😊 my C5 2.5 is off the road due to engine failure but it's een in my family from new so family clued up on them. My dad owned it initially then I inherited it from him.
Sounds great, definitely peace of mind. Also ask when the cambelt and water pump were last changed. They should be changed every 8 years (I forget at what mileage).
Body wise they're pretty good. Rust is common on the front wings, which is due to a foam insert on the inside top of the wing. Common issue in most vag cars of the 90s/noughties.
Also rust along the bottom of the doors is common below the rubber strips.
Bless ya. Thankfully my wife's xe is ok for now, but we have been discussing HR next car options when we do start having issues.

Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂
Check for wet carpets in front footwells which is often due to a broken pollen filter housing or blocked battery tray drains. This water can damage the CCM which is under the passenger footwells carpet. The CCM controls a lot of electrical functions so make sure all electrical items work.
Looks stunning to be fair. Service history is key for the 2.5tdi. People say they're unreliable but this is often because people have failed to keep up on regular maintenance. My A6 2.5tdi had done 344k miles before engine expired.
Regarding the gearbox, make sure it's been serviced and gear changes are smooth.
Regarding the ingenium engine my wife has a Jag xe with this engine so fully aware of the issues.

This could be an issue with the gear linkages or clutch. Is it smooth to engage the clutch?
Is there any clutch slip etc?

I should also add two things:
1. If you were to convert it to petrol engine then you'd probably find it easier to get it ulez compliant. You'll definitely need a complete donor car for this.
2. UK MOT rules changed regarding emissions in 2002. Up to 2002 (02 registered) car emissions were based of the engine and when it was manufactured. So for example, if you fitted a 1970s rover V8 to your 2001 Audi it would only have to meet the 1970s emissions regulations.
Cars registered from September 2002 (52 registered onwards) had to meet the emissions of the car as it was made that year. So you couldn't fit a river V8 engine to post 52 registered cars as emissions would be higher than the original engine when new if that makes sense.

You're welcome 🙂

To change an engine on an Audi with all the electronics and imobiliser stuff is a nightmare.
You'd be far better off changing the car.
If the car is sentimental and you're adamant to do it then the best option would be to buy another A3 that is ULEZ compliant and changing everything over including engine, gearbox, ECU, full wiring loom, instrument cluster, high pressure fuel pump etc.
-
Instrument cluster issues are well documented. I'd recommend getting an auto electrician to take a look at the power drain.

Where abouts is it leaking from?
Leaking injector seals are common.

Glad you got sorted 🙂

Hi mate am sorry for writing a short message, Basically i just imported and Audi Q3 from Singapore and am trying to register it in UK as the car is under 10years old there are some documents i must provide in order to register it, What am asking now is that, Has anybody on here go through the process and if yes what documents did they use in register a car under 10years old from singapore that all am asking for please mate. Thanks for your understanding.
I think it might be worth you speaking to Audi customer services as you'll need a build certificate from them. You might also need a certificate of conformity from them to confirm the vehicle emissions to help with correct taxation class.

I suspect it's in the boot either right or left side panel.

Keep us posted on how you get on

I had a towbar fitted to my ford Kuga daily by buzz towbars. They come to you to fit. Very knowledgeable and highly recommend.

What fault codes?
-
I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up
-
Fingers crossed it's the actuators
-
I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up as it could be a
N issue with the sensor, wiring or module

I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up as it sounds like level is fine.

Facelift bumper will fit if you fit the facelift rings, bumper and headlights.

,you're welcome. Never heard of that before. Has the engine pressure been checked? Is it over fueling etc?
