  1. I believe you'll have to change the headlight.
  2. It is definitely the best Audi show of the year 👍 and good value for money when you consider you get access to the museum and manor house.
  3. You're welcome ☺️ wow really I wouldn't be surprised! My advice for security would be to a ghost alarm. My mate has one on his campervan and it's a neat bit of kit.
  4. Welcome to the forum, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch ☺️ Sorry to hear of your issues, the sat nav one is definitely common and is as you say linked to the antenna. Regarding software updates I'd advise you get Audi to do this for your peace of mind.
  5. What you should have is the spare wheel or tyre weld, compressor, wheel jack, locking wheel nut and towing eye.
  6. Thanks for sharing this. I hadn't started looking at the 22 shows yet. Will do now though. I'll definitely be attending.
  7. I'd definitely recommend having the system fully bled first. Then check all rubber coolant hoses.
  8. I'm surprised it didn't come with a dipstick. I've found two on ebay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-A5-8T-A6-C7-2-0-TDi-Oil-Dipstick-Dip-Stick-New-Genuine-03L115611AC-/133532394986?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-A6-C7-3-0-V6-TDI-Diesel-Engine-Oil-Dip-Stick-New-Genuine-059115611AM-/133392853196?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
  9. If the car is still under warranty it's definitely worth getting Audi to take a look. I appreciate that's unlikely as we're nearly at the end of 2021 now.
  10. I do t believe it's possible due to the door being pillarless. Plus even if you could they would probably foul on the window when it automatically goes up/down when the doors open/close. https://www.a5oc.com/threads/rs5-a5-door-wind-deflectors.76250/
  11. This might help: https://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php/135763-Rear-LED-failure-on-outer-rear-indicators-part-of-main-tail-light-cluster You might have to change the light unit.
  12. I guess it depends what's wrong with the drive system. Amber warning means car can still be driven with caution. But if the warning is red then it means you shouldn't drive it. You could always call out your break down company as they'll do a diagnostic check for you.
  13. I had this on my a6 c5. I had to have an auto electrician fix the central locking system and repair a broken wire in the system. My central locking is still hit and miss so I think my ccm is failing. However your car is a lot newer so I would definitely recommend a diagnostic check. Have you switched off the interior alarm? To see if it stops the main alarm going off. I ask as a fly or spider could set off the alarm via the interior sensors.
  14. Have you got a picture? This is whst I've found on Google.
  15. Hmm, now how is that fair. I'd be tempted to remove the stickers on my two old cars including my a6 out if principal.
  16. Now I've learnt something new 🙂
  17. My advice would be to look.at YouTube buyers videos. The mileage isn't a problem as long as it's been fully maintained. Unfortunately at the age mileage it's due another cambelt and water pump change I believe as it's every 5 years or 120k which ever comes first.
  18. Exactly so fingers crossed synthetic fuel is the way forward. Or as keith.has pointed out hydrogen could be an option. What ever vehicle drive option they chose it has to be something that has least impact on driver's behaviour. Which involves us filling up in 2 minutes and driving off and being able to drive for 600-1000 miles on a single tank. Unfortunately electric cars are at least 10 years away from this. Whereas synthetic fuel or hydrogen fuel would give you that range instantaneously. Plus for synthetic fuel or hydrogen there's less change required to infrastructure. You just need extra pumps and tanks at fuel stations. This would be cheaper which is better for the economy as well as having less impact on the environment.
  19. Truthfully my knowledge of RNS-E is limited, I believe you'd need the head unit, antenna, modules etc my advice would be to get a complete system from a similar car being broken. I think to add Bluetooth to rnse you'd need to plug something into the back maybe. The aftermarket touch screen units all come with Bluetooth as standard now and are double din.
  20. Needless to say I won't be getting rid of my fossil fuel cars but they way they'll get mine off the road is to tax me an extortionate amount. But this will be cancelled out if synthetic fuel takes off. F1 are going to be using it by 2024 so that shows you where motorsport is heading. Plus some are saying they want us minions off the roads which I can believe to an extent. However with most of us off the roads to government would lose one of its main revenue sources. Let's not forget that only a third of road tax is actually used to fix/upgrade the road network
  21. Nice! Sounds fun 🙂
  22. The standard sat nav from the era was RNS-E which can be retrofitted. But you wouldn't have Bluetooth. Alternatively you could look at having a new touch screen system installed with apple car play/Android auto etc and then you'd have both sat nav and Bluetooth. For installation of either you'd be looking at £300 for a professional install roughly.
  23. It might need a software update. Definitely worth asking to see if it needs one from Audi.
  24. My advice would be to get an auto electrician to take a look. However hate to be a barer of bad news but the UK government has changed the rules regarding vehicle lighting. I believe you a now not allowed to upgrade a car lighting system from what it was when it left the factory. It is/going to be an mot fail.
  25. Oh no, sorry to hear you've got another issue. Not heard of a scatter rally, what is it? Any pics? Have thought of entering my a6 into a couple of road rallies locally.
