  1. I'd dread taking mine in! She's currently having both driveshafts replaced and at least 2 new engine mounts! To be fair though it's never had driveshafts previously so I think getting 324,800 miles out of them is pretty good! Last week she had lower suspension arms and rear discs and pads! Abd I know she'll need the upper suspension arms doing before the mot in March! But il have it done because I'm crazy and I live this a6 as it has sentimental value!
  2. Glad it went well Paul :) them sending you a video is routine stuff now :) sounds like your car is in great health :)
  3. Welcome to the forum David :) youll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) i have to agree with Paul and if it were me I'd take the higher powered model :) especially as it doesn't effect insurance or tax! Plus it will make it more desirable when you come to sell it on ( I know that sounds a daft thing to think about before you've collected it). But it should be taken into consideration. Also let's face it you'll be waiting another 3 months at least for your car to be built again! Also id have a look on the Audi configurator and see what the price difference is between the 2 engines. Keep us posted on how you get on :) cheers steve
  4. Just to add to Gareth's post one thing you could do after you've dried the boot/tailgate out and taken off the trim panel you could get someone to sit in the boot and watch whilst you spray the boot and roof with a pressure washer. Hope iv helped :) cheers steve
  5. That is pretty cool Paul :) do the ducks drive you quackers? 😛 Lol Nice one Dan :)

  17. Welcome to the forum Lee youll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) i have to agree that a remap is probably your best option :) a remap should be tailored to your car as no two cars are the same due to age, mileage and how they have been driven. As such you can ask the Tuner on what's best for your car as they should examine it on a rolling road first. You shouldn't need a bigger turbo unless your going for mega power. Obviously make sure the car is in good health as the remap will accelerate the wear on parts that are already starting to go. Hope iv helped :) cheers steve
  18. That's not a problem! Il put your name down! :) members who attend will get a free t shirt and sticker! ;) just let me know what t shirt size you would like :)

  21. Hmm, technically yes as the radios were fitted in various models :) however the new radio would need to be coded to your car and you would have to check whether or not you have the wiring for the microphone already installed. Oh and iv moved this to the a3 section to make it easier for members to find :) cheers steve
  22. Welcome to the forum jacques, You'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) i have to agree with Piotr, your best getting it plugged in a diagnostic machine. But to be fair it could as simple as a loose wire found under the passenger seat. cheers steve :)
